The Venezuelan pianist Clara Rodríguez played on Saturday February 7th in Kew,in the enchanting borough
of Richmond, very close to the world famous botanical park of Kew Gardens.
The concert , to a full house , was held in the beautiful church of St. Anne’s – built in 1714-
under the auspices and by invitation of the Kew Sinfonia conducted by Marc Dooley .
Clara Rodriguez was the soloist in the virtuoso Concerto No 1 in E minor by Frederic Chopin .
The audience showed their appreciation to the artist offering her a long ovation, beautiful bouquets
of spring flowers and sending messages of congratulations .
On previous occasions Marc Dooley and Clara Rodriguez have shared the stage interpreting
the Schumann Concerto in A minor and the Third Concerto by Sergei Rachmaninoff in London’s
St. John’s Smith Square.
